John Hughes can't believe his wife has turned from a sweet, happy young woman, to a scathing, foul mouthed, khaki wearing PTA mom.
The only thing they still have in common is planning their divorce. During a shopping spree that was meant to ruin John's credit, Denise acquires a most unusual love seat that has the potential to show them both that the love they once had is still there.

Eventually John and Denise realize that while they are seated on this love seat, they feel that initial love they once knew. The suddenly in love again couple must learn how to conduct their day to day life on this small love seat. Managing work, kids and in-laws from the love seat creates some interesting, awkward, and highly comical situations for them.
Could this slightly magical love seat be the catalyst to changing their perspective about each other? About love? Perhaps.. except the Love Seat doesn't remain in their lives long enough for them to find out. What will happen to the couple who regained their love only to lose it all again?

Hilarious and great message!This book tells the story of a couple who is at the end of their marriage – they hate each other and there seems to be no hope for them. The wife goes on a spending spree planning to destroy her husband’s credit and in the process finds a possibly magical love seat. The story turns really sweet as they realize that when they are sitting on the love seat, they see each other as they did in the beginning of their relationship. The problem is that as soon as they leave the love seat, the hatred comes back.
The author makes some really good points about how rampant divorce is these days, and how if couples can adjust their perspective, maybe things aren’t as hopeless as they think.
I really enjoyed this book! Denise is hilarious and the couple finds themselves in some crazy situations trying to live on the love seat. My husband kept looking at me funny as I laughed out loud many times!

Great read! Everyone can learn a little something about love with this hilariously put together book! I love it!!
At first, I absolutely loved this book. The main character is not at all afraid to say what she thinks, and I liked that. By the end of the book, though, she just seemed crazy and vulgar. Also, the story was kind of repetitive... Probably could have cut a couple of the scenes with John of Denise scrambling to get back to the love seat to make it more enjoyable. The ending was happy, so that's a plus.

There is so much to love with this book - the clever premise, the honesty about relationships, love, kids, surviving in the modern world. The book is a fast read, a fun read, and in the end, an important read about marriage and love and never giving up. Well done!!
I did not enjoy this book at all. The premise is really cute but the hatred between the husband and wife is at first very disturbing and hard to read and eventually tiring.
This book is fantastic!! The writing is great - such that many wives and husbands can identify with the wife and husband Sherise Seven weave in this story. You feel the pain, the anger, the sad and the happy, the laughter, the silly. And at the bare bones of all, is the love. Always the love - it's the cliff we fall From, into the arms of those that love us - we will always want to do it again and again. Thank you for a great read!
